New investor in Sarasota Fl

Hello, my name is Gil and I'm a father of 3 and a husband of one,, wait wrong forum.?

Well it describes me the best as that's my main focus is my family and the reason I'm here today. I have 3 daughters and two of them are identical twins.

I have been long interested in the idea of real estate investing and after my girls came in to my life I knew that down the road I would need to make some changes to my financial situation, that being said at 37 that time is NOW! (BETTER LATE THEN NEVER!)

After January to witch is when I started to take control of our financial house. I found that the need to start building a buy and hold portfolio was needed along with some major debt crushing! We are well on our way as of today I a'm proud to say that short of mortgage and family van we will be debt free a year from Aug!

Now as for starting out, I own (mortgaged) my current home and I'm going to using that as my staring home for my portfolio. As living in Sarasota and my home is in a B+ area I plan to next year buy us a 3+ bed second home and rent this one out. After that I'm planing on using the equity I have in my current home to start buying more investment property. Some out of state (MT, Clemons MI area) and in my surrounding markets as well. Sarasota, Bradenton, Tampa, St Pete, and north port.

I look forward to continuing to educate my self and also hopefully become a successful investor!
