Just getting started

Hello BP community Jake here, just spent 2 years traveling building a hospital in New Mexico, realized 30 years of traveling and being away from my wife and kids is not something I want to do. I see real estate investing as a tool to allow for more time with my family. 

I'm familiar with the construction industry I've worked in it since high school. I'm clueless about real estate. I'm interested in the BRRRR process I just don't know where to start. I'm living in Utah and the market is crazy so I'm looking to purchase properties in other markets.
