Complete Greenie from Bahston (Boston for non-new englanders)

Antwon Ward
Posted

Well hello Bigger Pockets community!

My name is Antwon.  I am a Boston Lifer and a homeowner in the Boston area.  Seriously, a lifer.  Like... I married a woman who live two streets over from me, and we got married on the street in between us.  The same street I caught the school bus every day for elementary through high school.

So... My wife and I own a single family in Boston, which was really only possible due to the Market conditions and fortuitous timing back in 2011. I've reached a +200% LTV for my initial purchase price, after putting in about 90k in home improvements, which I get to enjoy now in the property. That's important to my wife and I. Also, I now have around 200k in Equity that I am planning to tap into to fund investment property purchases. Long term buy kind of deals.

I have a great friend who joined BP with me and we are just starting out on this journey together as partners, I'm sure he'll chime in here at some point.  We both bring great things to the table.  We already setup a website and designed a Logo together, yeah I do that too! I'm not, it's just a place to see pics of us at this point anyways.

So much to say!  I have an IT background and and analyst personality.  I literally can't help myself, it's this brain my mom gave me.  Yes, she's very smart and Yes, you would love her as well.  What that means is I love numbers and figuring out the patterns that produce results.  Perfect storm for this tract eh?!

I work as an Information Technology Auditor for a well known school in Cambridge that focuses on engineering for the past 11 years.  Yes, that school and I love my work.

More about me? Here I am!

My goals are four fold at this point.

1. Implement a buy and hold strategy that creates a monthly passive income of 10k per month.

2. Aggressive paydown of financial debts to facilitate BRRR strategy

3. Improve Boston neighborhoods through ethical property management and local ownership

4. Free up time to commit to more volunteer work with my wife

OK, wrapping up this intro.  I'm really hoping to not annoy everyone with my questions, but there's so much to learn and so many people to meet to create the right team for us.  Feel free to DM me or post here as I'm looking to connect with as many people as possible!

Heres a challenge to the BP community.

Let's see how many people I can connect with in a month!  I'll make a separate "Where's the love" thread next week.  Stay tuned for that as it might be a cool social expirement and would definitely be helpful to me.
