Newbie from new york

Hey everybody, brand new to the site. Currently live on Long Island, ny. No properties yet, but it will happen soon. Have a lot of reading and learning to do, still unsure about what type of property to get started with. Initially I was interested in a vacation home in ocean city, but am having second thoughts about a short term rental so far away from me. At least for my first purchase. Anyway, looking forward to interacting with everybody and learning how to navigate the site so I can find answers on my own. Thank you!
