Greetings from San Antonio

Hello everyone, I'm Tomas and currently in San Antonio. I arrived 1 year ago, and originally left when I was 17 to Los Angeles for 15 or so years. There was no was I could afford a home being an artist in the LA economy. I'm currently a product designer (web/mobile apps/ipad) and I have saved a nice nest egg to invest and want something that will continue to grow and provide for me down the road of life. I've been reading on investing to own a rental property (I hear in SA SFH's are better then multi-units) and now I am here! I'm looking to learn from veterans, get advice and if anything give some value where I can. Cheers everyone. - T
