Intro to bigger pockets

Hi guys! I am just starting out. I am an Irish man living abroad in Australia. Personal finance and investing have become great interests of mine over the last two years. Within the next 2 years I want to buy my first ( of hopefully of many) buy and hold investments. I am keen to either start here in Australia or back at home in Ireland. I plan to save for a deposit while researching  potential markets. I would love to hear from you about your journeys or if you have an advice for a young lad starting out, that would be greatly appreciated!

Cheers
