New Philadelphia member

Hello everyone,

I just wanted to introduce myself. I am a new member to Bigger Pockets from just outside Philadelphia in Bucks County, PA. I have been trying to break into REI for a # of years now and just recently completed my first flip. We didn't make as much as I had wanted, nor get it done as fast, but I still feel real good about it.

I have taken a little time navigating around this site and all I can say is that this place makes my heart happy. I'm coming from a place where I've paid for a few different gurus and have literally hundreds of emails coming from them weekly selling me this or that. I can't believe there is actually a place where people come and help each other, sometimes forming mutually beneficial relationships, and other times just helping to help.

I am a Carpenter and also a realtor. I have only done residential real estate as a side gig for the passed few years but now I intend to kick it up a notch. I am getting married next month and that has kind of impressed on me the need to be able to put myself and my future family in a place of financial security.

As I have said, I have paid for gurus in the past and to be honest, have gotten some really good information. However, there was a disconnect somewhere between receiving that info and actually applying it. However, now I believe I am ready to take on the challenge. It has been such a blessing to come upon this site and I have to offer sincere gratitude to whoever you are who put this together.

I have already learned a lot in these forums and my goal is to very soon be able to give back. I am looking for meetups in my area and also someone(s) who would be willing to let me learn from them. My financial goals are to eventually be a successful rehabber, wholesaler and landlord. If there is anyone out there who would consider helping me out, I would greatly appreciate it. And I'll also do anything I can to help you out. Ie: anything Realtor related (pulling comps, setting up searches for you, etc), or any kind of leg work you need done. I am just trying to interact with as many successful people in my area as I can.
