Newbie from Mid Michigan
Hello There,
My name is Jake and i am From Mt Pleasant Michigan. I am a Project Manager for an excavating contractor and graduated from Central Michigan University with a degree in Construction Management last year, which is where one of my professors put the idea in my head that investing in buy and hold rentals is an awesome strategy. I am relatively new to real estate but over the last year and a half i have learned a lot about investing both from reading books and listening to podcasts. This lead me to convincing my wife that we needed to buy rentals ASAP, so last fall about 5 months after purchasing our primary residence we bought our first duplex in Bay City, we followed up that purchase by buying a 4 bed 2 bath single family rental last month also in bay city.
We are hoping to keep purchasing properties as cash flow builds up and i am interested in purchasing in other markets in michigan. I would like to continue building my portfolio with small multi family and potentially move into apartment complexes. I also am interest in trying the brrrr strategy but havent quite dove into that yet.
Hope to make new connections and continue my education of real estate!
