Introduction To Bigger Pockets

Travis Boller
Posted

Greetings from Key West!

My name is Travis Boller and I am new to the BiggerPockets community. I have been a Naval Aviator for 8 years, currently flying the MH-60S doing search and rescue out of Key West. My wife and I are under contract selling our first home and due to some fortuitous appreciation over the last 2 years, we are netting a healthy profit. We are deciding to invest this profit into real estate, which brought me to BiggerPockets. I just finished reading @Brandon Turner's book on rental property investing and I'm extremely excited to get started!

Unfortunately the Navy usually sends me to pretty expensive markets, so I've been practicing analyzing deals in the Midwest. My goal is to slowly accumulate multi-family homes that generate healthy cash flow (preferably B homes in C neighborhoods). I'll be using a vetted property manager since I will be land-lording from a distance, in the meantime good luck with your investments and I look forward to learning and contributing to the community!

Best,

Travis
