Need Health Insurance InBetween Jobs- What Are My Choices?

Posted

I'm contemplating transitioning jobs and will need health insurance while I transition.  I've never purchased health insurance on my own and feel confused and overwhelmed with all of the options.  I'm not clear with open enrollment rules and or Obamacare. Is it easier to just purchase a plan on my own?  Do I qualify for Medicaid/Medicare? Can anyone recommend the best way to purchase a plan and /or recommend a plan?

I am 46 year old female in good health and just looking for something that will cover me for a few months.  Any advice/suggestions? are greatly appreciated.
