Back Again for the First Time

What's going on everybody! 

  My name is Marcellus. I am new to the Hampton Roads area in Virginia (moved here from Denver... I know!), and I really enjoy the area so far. I am currently active duty in the Air Force, and I've been in for about nine years now. I signed up for this site a few months ago to look at one of the calculators, but I didn't really realize what a goldmine I had found until I started listening to the podcast! really excited to learn from all of you and start making this real estate thang a reality. 

As for experience, I wouldn't say I have much. I just recently sold my previous residence in Denver and bought my current home in VA, but I have not really explored the possibilities of real estate until now. I am more in the learning stage right now, and I am certainly not attached to any particular strategy, but I know that my goal is to match my current monthly income from passive sources. What I really need help with right now is learning the language and terms associated with real estate, how to do basic market research in an area of interest, as well as any advice that people have on the market in the peninsula/southside area.

Moved from Denver to VA 7 months ago. Unique difference I still have my house in Denver.

Listen to as many podcasts as you can and take it easy.

Key is in simplicity and learn slow to have a deep understanding.
