supportive living for adults in residential rental property

I have been trying to get more information about opening a prospective residential property to a service or institution that places adults with disabilities into privately owned housing.  this would be an independent/semi independent living situation for these adults.   I have heard a few podcasts that have briefly highlighted this option but gave no real detail.  Just wondering what routes or avenues anyone has taken to get something like this set up.  Thanks.
