newbie from brooklyn
Hi everyone, just wanted to introduce myself to the BiggerPockets community. I am a complete newbie but have a rising interest in REI. Currently, I have a full time 9-6 job, but I started taking online courses to get my RE agent license. After I get my license, I would want to work part-time (evenings and weekends) and get as much experience as I can, as well as save and collect a nice capital (right now I have nothing except student loan debt). Eventually I would want to do real estate full time and then get into investing, perhaps do a house hack.
I have a very big interest in flipping houses as well, and would love to learn how to do things myself.
As I am going through my courses I would love to go to some REI meetups and network.
I feel that RE is the right path for me because I am a people person, I love looking at houses (studied architecture for two years), and I don't see myself sitting in front of a computer for 9 hours a day, everyday, much longer. I want to be a business owner and have the freedom to be creative and do things myself.
If anyone has any suggestions or advice, I would really appreciate it.
