New Member from El Paso, TX / Las Cruces, NM area

Just coming on board.  It feels absolutely empowering to know that there are sooooo many like-minded individuals looking to secure their financial future in the art of real estate investing.  Proud to be a member, let's see where this cruise ship is headed (very excited).

I own one rental in Texas and have successfully house-hacked (purposefully) 5 different times over the past 25 years during my moves across the Southwest. Up until now I never thought about taking this ability, to see and eventually realize long term profits, and use to it to my advantage by investing in RE to secure my retirement years. I was just looking at the situation as a family expense and making the best out of it until the next move came along.

I am actually located in Las Cruces, NM but El Paso, TX is just down the road, so I consider it to be "local".  I am willing to grind it out by myself in this desolate area but would really like to build a network of individuals that play in the same sandbox. I would like to begin by inviting any other investors, agents, brokers, lenders, etc. to offer up any relevant experience they might have had in the past 3 years that relates to BRRRRs, Flips, Rentals, Wholesaling, etc. or just a shout-out that you are my neighbor and have like interests in RE.  As well, I would love to hear from any supporting groups, i.e. lenders, lawyers, CPAs, agents, brokers, etc. and any input they might have about this community.

Thanks, and again can't wait to see the different ports of entry this ship takes me.

Hello @Ryan White,

I am based in El Paso, and currently hold units in the NE and Central area (Great for high CAP rates but you have to put some remodeling work). I firmly believe in the BRRRR strategy and have a target to achieve my Financial Independence through practicing it. Thanks for sharing your house hack experience, I did it whilst living in the UK, I believe we should all do it at least once, to gain a bit more experience of land lording and managing tenants.

Good luck!

Yas
