Newbie from Salem, Oregon

Hello,  I'm a newbie from Salem, Oregon.  Just in the learning stages right now. Reading and listening to everything I can.  The area's of Real Estate Investing I'm interested in are Buy and Hold Rental properties.  I want to learn more about wholesaling and note buying.  I came across Bigger Pockets while looking at some personal finance YouTube  videos.  I'm pretty hooked listening to the BP podcasts on my way to work. I've skipped around a little bit, but have started from podcast 1 and I think I'm up to #30 now.  I'm a land use specialist for the Federal Government and the furlough in January kinda gave me kick in the butt to get my financial house in order, so I can start investing in some forms of passive income.  I've always wanted that passive income to be real estate.
