New to bigger pockets

Hello my name is Jeff.  I'm 43 years old and am new to Bigger Pockets.  I've been listening to the podcasts for a couple of months now, as I have long considered getting into real estate investing, but never really got up the nerve to get started.  I've also been reading a good bit and trying to do all I can to educate myself and prepare to dive into the investment game.  What I find so interesting, for lack of a better term, is the fear and anxiety feel related to getting started in real estate.  I have been investing in the stock market for a couple decades now and have done so succesfully doing so largely on my own, but when it comes to getting started here I can't seem to "pull the trigger".  I have a family and own my own home and I'm looking to work towards an increasing financial independence.  I'm encouraged by all the of your success stories and knowledge that I've gained spending time listening to Bigger Pockets is awesome.  Just can't seem to get over that hump of getting started.
