Newbie in rental real estate

Hello to everyone reading this post. My name is Sibeso Mukelabai. I am 23 years old and from Lusaka, Zambia in southern Africa. I am a newbie dealing in rental properties. After my father passed away, he left my sister and I with a house which was turned into a commercial rental property. However, it's been run down due to negligence and poor management. I watched a video on YouTube from biggerPockets and it inspired me to do better and take charge in managing my property.
