Hi There,

Just getting started in the investing world.  I have been a member of BP for about a year but haven't posted until now,  I made the decision to start investing a little over a year ago.  I am interested in Rentals and would love to do some flips.  In all honesty, I have a million ideas going through this brain of mine.  II haven't purchased my first property yet but I am ready I just need to figure out the finance piece.  Looking forward to learning and meeting some people with similar goals....

Hi @Liz Boyd and welcome to BP! I can sympathize with you about all of the ideas that ran through my head in the very beginning. What I found that worked the best is to focus on one, maybe two and run with them. You can always do more later but its important to master one in the beginning. If not, then you'll find yourself doing a little bit on a lot of different things and not getting any traction.

If you haven't read it yet, the BiggerPocket's "Ultimate Beginners Guide" is a great resource http://www.biggerpockets.com/ultimatebeginnersguid... This helped me to make some goals and to stick to them. It also has some great information on the financing piece. Trust me, the financing isn't even the hardest part of the whole thing. If you find a good enough deal, the money will find you.

Again, welcome to BP and hope to see you in the forums!
