Single male business owner looking to divorce his W-2 safety net!

Resisting the urge to lurk the forums and jumping right in, I'm a physician in Brooklyn, NY presently splitting my time b/w a W-2 hospital job and my own practice. I came to BP b/c this seems like a great place to learn how to reach my financial goals using real estate.

My envisioned goal b/w my practice and real estate is to leave my W-2 job and begin accumulating either income generating properties or commercial spaces (in which I may even house my own practice or others').

I'm entirely new to this field, but I am a believer in Kiyosaki's statement that most people are one skill away from fabulous wealth, so I'm excited to learn what I can from BP.
