New (Wanna-be) Investor in Boise, Idaho

Hi BP Community! I learned about this website from the "Rental Property Investing" book by Brandon Turner. I'm hoping I can connect with some local investors here in Boise and also around the country to help me in this new adventure. I am a 22 year old guy that is still getting started with this whole "life" thing. I want to get going early so that my future can be as successful as possible. I bought my first home in October; I wouldn't say it was a good deal as I bought it for market value but I wanted a home. I have been putting some money into it and am hoping to save up to buy a rental property in the next year or two depending on finances. If any of you could offer me some advice on how to get started that would be great! Especially in the crazy market that we have here right now. Would it be best to wait? Anyways, I'm glad to be apart of such an enthusiastic community and hopefully am able to meet some great people!
