New Here and hungry!
Hi everyone! I’m new here but I’m pretty excited about where I’ve projected my, and my family’s future.
I consider myself extremely lucky. I moved to this ocean front community about 6 years ago. I’ve always been into cars so at the time I went to a local car meet and I ran into who will end up being my future broker. He’s a successful investor, broker, lender and general real estate agent with over 25 years experience and multiple LLCs.
He’s recently taken me under his wing. We’re going to partner on a couple rehabs this year and I know he has plenty of clients coming in so he has plenty to choose from. (He has a lot of rentals that pay for his toys. 😎) I’m am just ecstatic to say the least. I’m a grassroots blue collar worker, heavy equipment mechanic, veteran and just all around motivated hard worker. (Am I allowed to admit that?) I‘ll be happy landIng my fIrst rental!
So I’ve had this massive network right under my fingers for a while now. I’ve had access to all of this. And I’m also in a small group of car enthusiasts who are also very successful investors that I can draw advice from.
I found bigger pockets on YT about a month or two ago. I finally made the conscious decision to get into real estate investment about a month ago. The wife and I are sitting here trying to figure out how we could afford a new dresser for our son and that was it. I am fed up with working my *** off for nothing. And we live frugally as it is. I don’t get it. So I’m making a huge step toward a major career change and a big change for our lives. I’ll still work my 9-5 but I instant to eventually offer my income completely and become financially independent. I love my job but after 15 years and my thirst for always looking up, I’ve pretty much hit my ceiling as a fleet manager.
Anyway. Thanks and I look forward to perusing the forums and l arming as I proceed!

@Richard Bayer sounds like you have realized that working a 9-5 will not get you to financial freedom. And it is that frustration and "just tired of being tired" that will propel you to new heights in real estate. I'd suggest identifying your "why", write it down and let that too fuel the passion. What type of investor would you like to become? Cash flow, equity, a bit of both? Figure that part out and dig in. Sounds like you have a pretty good network already built. Ask questions and gather information so that you can get started. All the best. Persist and you will WIN!!!
