Hello fellow forum users!   I too have read this forum occasionally in regards to owning properties and dealing with rents as I deal with real estate and have family members who do as well. I find this site to be a great resource tool and a boon for those trying to learn!

I am now getting my Real Estate license.  I'm preparing to take the test very soon.  I was looking at different brokerages and I did have some questions as I didn't know where to direct it.  I was looking at a few brokerages.  Someone mentioned one to me that had only $150 a month charge with no split and no franchise fee.  To me this seemed off because that seems awfully low and I don't know how they could stay in business with rates that low.  I'm still doing research into this.

I also talked to a prominent Keller Williams broker.  I live around a lake area and this group specializes in lake properties.  They do a lot of high cost sales but Keller Williams here charges 30% plus franchise fee, plus $100 month.  She said she would mentor me.  However I have also heard a lot about Keller Williams being big on recruitment and I'm not sure how much effort they would put into helping me.  She seemed sincere and like a great lady though and she definitely sells a lot.

Finally I heard of eXp realty and thought about it.  It has lower fees but they are also big on recruiting from what I hear.  I do hear people recommend this and I tried to email/call them and I've had no response despite multiple opportunities to reach out to them.  It doesn't look very good to me if they are this slow to help with basic questions from a person wanting to join if they say one of the benefits of online is that they are responsive.

Anyways that was my introduction and thanks for your time.  Any feedback would be appreciated.  If I need to move the other content to another section let me know and I'll do that too!  Thanks.
