New Investor|Seeking Opportunities near Annapolis / Baltimore

Hello BiggerPockets Community!

My name is Jim McDaniel. I am 26 years old and an Active Duty member of the Navy currently living overseas. I am looking to transition out of the military and into the civilian world and I am very interested in future opportunities with Real Estate Investing. 

I regularly listen to the BiggerPockets podcasts, have read "Set for Life" and "The Book on Rental Property Investing" and I am eager to continue learning about the world of Real Estate Investing. 

Once I am back in the United States, my wife and I are looking at civilian career opportunities around the Annapolis / Baltimore area of Maryland. My wife and I are very interested in "house-hacking" a duplex/triplex for our first property. Following an initial investment in house-hacking, I am interested in rental and commercial property real estate investment opportunities in the DMV area and throughout the U.S.

I am eager to learn more and look forward to being a member of the BP community!
