Should I become a agent first before getting in to investing

Hello I’m Jonathan and i’am 27, newly married and a new father I work 2 part time jobs and my wife stays home and we have no money saved.I want to get into real estate investing but I don’t know anything about it. Should I take classes to be come licensed in real estate or is that Necessary and if not what should I do first

I am new as well, about 3 years new. However, I've met many people who started with no or very little money through "wholesaling". If you are not familiar, do a little research (YouTube has a plethora of videos on the subject). Also, check out your local Real Estate Investors Association- first meeting is usually free. It's give you a chance to meet new and seasoned investors. 

Wholesaling could be a source of income to save and use towards buy and holds or other investments. Best.
