Hey everyone,

I'm new to this whole thing and was wondering if it is a good idea to try to buy a duplex/multifamily home and live in one side/unit and try to rent out the rest. I just worry that with only having an income of $38K that I won't qualify for much. Sorry if this is a request for repeat information. I'm just trying to get my head wrapped around everything.

I live in Eau Claire, WI for reference.
