Thinking of starting a local REI Meetup - Any Tips?

Hi Everyone,

I am a new investor and getting started on my first deal. With that, I was looking to potentially start a meetup in my area and was wondering if anyone had any pointers and tips on how to get started.

If you currently attend a meetup then I would also ask the following:

1 Why do you go - what were you seeking or hoping to gain/learn?

2. What is your biggest takeaway from these meetups?

3. What makes you want to continue to go back?

Thanks, BP Community!

    Hey Maurice!

You could just start one via BP (obviously) for new to intermediate level investors. Could be something small time at a coffee shop. Networking with those at your level and those a bit above, is definitely a must do!

    1. Networking reasons and relationship building, along with learning

    2. Learn something new, possibly form a network

    3. The people and if I vibe with them good to be honest

@Maurice Blackledge. My favorite type of meetup is just where I can go, eat some food, drink some beer (if you want) and network and talk to people. So I would suggest that format.

No sales pitches, no speakers, just good old fashioned networking with people from the area.

We have a monthly happy hour in Chattanooga no pitches no speakers just a gathering over drinks and it's a pretty great way to get to know other investors
