New to Bigger Pockets and trying to get my start in real estate

Justin Brucks
Posted

Hello Bigger Pockets!  My name is Justin and I am trying to get my start into real estate investing.  I have listened to hours of and hours of podcasts and am starting to read more books on the matter.  I live in Ft Worth Tx and from the research I have done to this point I think the way I want to get started is with a duplex three-plex or four-plex.  Besides not having a ton of capital to fund it and getting the live in girlfriend on board, I am terrified that the market will turn as soon as we move that direction.  We are looking to be live in landlords for the first year or so and move on from there.  Any advice and guidance is appreciated and look forward to more chats on BP!
