First post on Bigger Pockets!

Good morning all.

I'm new to Bigger Pockets, but very excited I found the platform. I've been going through the real estate podcast from the beginning, and have been learning a lot. I've read a few of the posts from other members and am excited to be a part of such a great community.

I have a single family home as a rental. When my family and I moved, we decided to keep our old home and rent it out. It has been great, and I'd like to get more rental houses.

Also, with the recent podcasts I've heard, I'm interested in learning about discount notes and tax liens as well.

I live in Allen, Texas (Northeast of Dallas in DFW metroplex), and would love to meet others in the area. I have a lot of knowledge about other traditional investments such as IRA's, 401k's, index funds, and how to optimize those investments, and finances in general, and looking forward to adding real estate to the mix. I'm a newbie at most things real estate, but look forward to this community.
