Newbie from Atlanta, GA

Hi,

I've been interested in real estate investing for a while but never new where to start. Last month I found Bigger Pockets and have been listening to a BP podcast almost everyday. I've taken my first steps of registering to attend a local REI meetup this Monday and figuring out where I can pull cash from. I hope to buy my first property within a few months. I'm interested in a buy and hold rental, although I've listened to a few podcasts on land and that sounds intriguing as well. Since I'm a business owner and full time employee, I will focus on passive investments. Land with a billboard rental sounds awesome but there's so much more info on rental properties.

I'm excited to get started and looking forward to meeting other investors. If there are other local meetups, please share.

@Azeez K. Thanks for all the helpful information. I'm reading the Ultimate Beginner's Guide now and have listened to several podcasts. I'll add your suggestions to my queue. I just attended my first Atlanta REIA event & am looking at GA REIA too.
