Balancing life while trying to getting into RE investing?

Good morning BP members! This is the start of my investing career and first actual post. I am currently working a typical 8-5 job through the week. We have two kids under 3 yo, my wife is also working late into the evenings so I am with the kids until about 8pm while cooking and cleaning. I've found some time looking at properties every morning so that has been a small move towards getting away from the 8-5 job. But we have been having challenges trying to make sure we have time for everything, and sometimes a chance to relax. We have a little time on the weekends, but still with work schedules the weekends are busy also. I wanted to see if this was similar to any of you more experienced investors when you first started out.

How did you balance your life in the beginning when you tried to get your first rentals? Were there any lessons that you learned that could be helpful?
