Hi All,

My name is Justin Kistler. My journey to finding rental property investment (REI) has been long and windy one. I graduated medical school in California. I did an internal medicine residency for one year and decided that I couldn't take another year of medicine. My wife, who had just finished Dental school, and I decided that Spokane, Washington was the area we wanted to live as it had great opportunities for her and was cheaper place than California to live. I decided to get my MBA to give me some business knowledge and change careers.

A close friend from school discussed with us his idea of house hacking a duplex and how his family, although living in the Seattle area, had a few rental properties in the Spokane area. This peaked our interest and I've been reading books on REI ever since.

We have a goal as a couple to live small and retire early. We are working with a local realtor in finding a good deal. Just here introducing myself and hope to grow in the Bigger Pockets community.
