Brand New and need help!

Hey, guys, I am 19 years old and located in Illinois. I am blessed to have the things that I have due to my jobs, and parents. A couple of months back I started on the idea of just focusing on my future while everyone else is smoking and drinking while I am at home reading. I just finished the book "The Book On Rental Property Investing" by bigger pockets. I am still going to be reading every single day to gain more knowledge. But why I am here is to get started with real estate. Unlike many other people my age, I am in a great financial state and looking to invest in real estate. I have money to put down on pretty much any building I just want to know in what state I should purchase and where to find good properties online to purchase. Of course, research has to be done on my part but I just want some people's opinions and guidance. Sorry If I did not include some more important details. What I do know is I want to own multi-family rental properties.
