Hello everyone!

I'm a software developer living just south of Kansas City, MO and have been listening to multiple BP podcasts each day.  I picked up a couple of BPs ebooks so now I'm here to see what the website has to offer.

I am unsure what path I'd like to take in regards to real estate but it's nice to hear all the different stories of how people got started.  My only real estate experience thus far has been negotiating a really good deal on our family home, then we ended up selling it a few years later at above our asking price(!) which we used as the down payment for our new home.  Being able to get into a new home with over 20k equity after just a couple years of owning a home was an eye opener.
