My name is Ryan and I have been very interested reading some of the threads on BiggerPockets. What a great resource.

I am very new to the Real Estate Investment field. My wife and I purchased a short sale last month, made some minor improvements (appliances, flooring, cosmetics) and successfully got it rented out within a week of finishing up work. I guess I caught the rehab bug when my Property Manager indicated that we could likely sell the home for $20K more than we had invested (Of course I realize that this may be wishful thinking).

Anyways we are in the process of possibly looking for another house to flip rather than rent. We bought the first home through a realtor and I think we may have just gotten lucky on finding a deal after I have read some posts. If anyone does read this post I would be interested if you have found success in flipping homes that can merely be found through realtors on the MLS or are those usually the ones investors have deemed unworthy or too expensive?

Now hopefully Hurricane Irene cooperates this weekend and doesn't force me to put up shutters at my house and my rental. Thanks in advance for any responses and nice to be here.

Ryan
