Investor out of Buffalo NY
Hello Everyone!
My name is Ryan, I signed up for BiggerPockets years ago and have been stalking the forums and listens to the podcast ever since. I’ve been going to the local meet up and feel like I might as well start adding to the forum as well!
In the past I have partnered on 2 flips, a single family and a duplex. More recently I was a partner on a 16 unit townhome building outside of Charlotte NC. My partner and I sold this recently and are currently in the middle of a 1031 exchange and negotiating a contract on a 32 unit; fingers crossed it gets signed this week! Although I live in NY, so far I have had good success working with a management company and investing out of state and plan to continue on that path for now. I’m hoping I can continue to learn and maybe help some others as well.
Have a great day!

@Ryan Sarka I stick to the Lehigh Valley area, mostly in the big three cities (Allentown, Easton and Bethlehem). Buildings tend to be older but taxes are low and income compensates for the higher repairs. Also the Lehigh Valley area is booming economically and population wise, which is what really drew me there.
