RE Beginner from Akron Ohio

Good evening everyone,

I am Jeremy Lewis and I am new to Real Estate. I had the idea to own a bunch of rental properties years ago when I wanted to be a lazy guy who just collected money from others, however it wasn't until more recently that I had the realization that what I had as an idea of a landlord was more of a scumlord and I gave up on that idea quickly. That isn't what I wanted.

After years of traveling around the US for different kinds of work; I had settled in Tempe Arizona for a few years and ended up starting my own business (Handyman), work is going great but I have been missing Akron Ohio a lot over the past few years and so my family decided to move back to Ohio.

In May not only will I turn 27 years old, but we will be moved back in Ohio and I will be reestablishing my company there. My plans for the next year are to go completely debt free, eliminating my truck payment and buying a house (maybe a duplex?) with cash. With that done my family will have yearly expenses of 15k which will be the solid foundation that we need to really build a great RE Empire.

Anyways, it has been good to be here the past few days and I look forward to answering any questions y'all might have and getting to know everyone!
