Hello BP community! This is my first post on this site and I wanted to reach out to give everyone a bit of a back story about me, my future goals, and ask some questions I have as a novice real estate investor.

Currently, I own one property in Denver, CO. It is a town home, 2/1.5, that cash flows $650 for me every month. This property was purchased about seven years ago and my strategy is to hold for the long term. After this initial purchased I realized that real estate is a great way to invest your money, but the ability to scale is a must. My future goals are to own 250 units in multifamily/apartments and to own 200 storage units. Multifamily real estate makes a lot of sense to me with my buy and hold strategy. At the end of the day people need; 1.water 2. food 3.shelter. That has been true since the beginning of humans and I believe that will never change.

Another goal of mine is education. Podcast, books, audio books, and attending classes is were my education is at right now. Continuously I am hearing or reading that you should find a mentor. So my questions to y'all is:

How does someone find a mentor in real estate?

How did you find your mentor?

Is finding a mentor necessary to you?

Thank you for reading and I look forward to talking with y'all.
