Property tax lien questions
I am new to the real estate industry and picked up the latest property Tax paper in my county. I noticed a few banks and credit unions that have propeties woth property tax liens. My question is do the banks or credit unions just not pay the property taxes after so long? And is there a possibility that I can talk to said bank or credit union and try to buy the property? What happens after the taxes are not paid? Does the property go to the state and then auction? All information is appreciated.
Thanks
Jason Leslie
