Hello everyone,

I am just starting out with real estate investing. Have no real experience yet. I stumbled upon this forum while doing the "real world" research and it looks like there is a lot of great information here.

I was planning to start with pre-forclosure/short sale investing (buy/hold) working directly with the sellers and banks but not sure if this is even a viable option anymore.

My primary background is in the information systems and web development.

Thank you everyone for contributing to the forum and providing me with a lot of reading material. I hope to eventually be able to contribute myself.
