Received large settlement, now what??

Ivan Manzano
Posted

Hello. My name is Ivan Manzano. I have been listening now for a couple weeks, taking notes, planning my future. I’m a newbie, originally from Yucaipa Ca, now reside in Snowflake Az for the last 9 years. I’m on this self betterment road for myself and my family, wife and 3 kids. I make a dismal income, and live in a home with 30 ac worth about 200k where we own 78%, with my wife’s 2 brothers who live in other states own 11% each. The brothers will not let us do pull a loan on the house. My wife and I really want to get started investing but are kinda strapped at the moment. I have many ideas and large goals. I would like to own a chain of tiny house cottages/villages across the country for air Bnb or rent or own in some of the nicest places. Kinda like Thomas Kinkade style villages. But the houses are on trailers so you can take them to any village across the country. Kinda like 1000 trails style. Memberships and what not. I have half a plan whipped up. But this post isn’t about me.

I have a best friend who was in a accident 8 months ago and has now as of last week received a large sum of money. Almost 7 figures. In a week he has went out and bought a 100k truck and a 350k home in Buckeye Az. I’m afraid he is going to blow this money and don’t want to see this happen. I’d like to see his money grow for him. I need all the advice I can get on how to help him invest his money wisely. Anything helps.

Most gracious, Ivan Manzano.
