I confess that I know very little about real estate investing, but I have learned quite a bit about options in the stock market over the past 12 years or so.  What I find intriguing is that there is an enormous amount of information available on the web about wholesaling, but almost nothing available about options to purchase real estate (note: I'm not talking about lease options).  To me, it seems that real estate options offer much less risk and potentially more success compared to wholesaling purchase agreements.

So I hope to be able to share what I have learned about options in the equity markets as they may apply to real estate investing.  And in the process I hope also to learn what I don't know about wholesaling.

Perhaps with the collaboration of other BP members, we can make a significant contribution to the body of knowledge on both topics.

BTW: I plan to maintain a blog here on BP that can serve as a centralized location for the knowledge that we develop.

Stock options are liquid Real Estate options are not, because there is no market each one has to be worked out individually, RE is also less volatile in general, meaning that you would need a much longer time horizon to make it work.
