Hello Bigger Pockets,

I've been listening to the podcasts, both Real Estate and Money, and reading the blog for a few months now. Finally taken the plunge to sign up for the forum. 

A little about me: born and raised in England, attended University there and became a clinical scientist for the Royal Air Force. Served 10 years and completed two tours of Afghanistan as well as one tour of West Africa (for the Ebola outbreak). Got my green card two years ago and moved to Los Angeles, CA. I currently work in the laboratory of one of the major hospitals in LA.

My aims with real estate are to supplement my income through investing in buy to hold properties (SFH and multi family). Depending on how much I enjoy real estate and the associated work, I also reserve the right to go full time in the future! Due to the cost of LA real estate I will be focusing my search out of state.

I've already attended one of the Webinars and hope to attend a meetup in Long Beach next week. Looking forward to learning as much as I can and meeting new people along the way.
