Trying to get into RE

Hey, I'm 17,  live in the Birmingham area and have never bought or sold a property before but I wanted to know what to specifically look for and to know what to say to the person(s) that I am buying the property from. I am also wondering what the papers involved look like and how to acquire them. Thanks in advance, guys.
