Hi everyone! My name is Sammy Allen and I’m new to (and am super excited about) real estate investing. I’m loving BiggerPockets so much that I went Pro almost immediately so I could use the calculators and start practicing analyzing deals! I live in Los Angeles with my fiancé Ryan, and our immediate goal is to finish remodeling our primary residence and either sell it, or do a cash out refinance to fund our first investment purchase(s). We’re still figuring out which path would be more advantageous for us. We’re looking to invest in and around the La Crosse area of Wisconsin where my fiancé is from. Ideally by next Summer, we would like to purchase one single family house to flip, and one multi-family property as a rental. Our long term goal is to flip houses in order to fund buy and hold properties and to build a nice portfolio of rentals. I’m currently reading David Green’s book “Long Distance Real Estate Investing”, and it’s fantastic. Ryan and I are both singers and musicians, and have developed a real passion for learning about real estate investing over the past year. We’re very excited to get started with our first deal, and very much look forward to meeting other BP members and investors!
