Hello everyone, My name is Cory Eddy and I'm a utility worker in St. Louis, Mo looking to ramp up my real estate investing journey. I currently have three rentals and am looking to network with some like minded people there is a lot of negative influence out here and I get sick of hearing about it.

My primary motivation is financial independence and get out of the rat race. I hit my goal of buying rehabbing and renting out two houses this year and am looking to start doing one every 90 days now.

I'm mainly interested in single family homes right now I believe that your tenants will be more likely to stay longer but not opposed to multi family and hope to get there one of these days.

I have listened to every podcast twice and have read a lot of the recommended books but I would like to start net working with some local investors, agents, rehabbers, etc...

Thanks for reading this and I'm looking forward to connecting with you.

Hey, @Cory Eddy... sounds like you're off to a great start! There are a lot of good meet ups in the area. Some are more formalized, like Southside Investment Club or the FasterHouse meet up... there's a fee to attend and they have a formal agenda and sponsors.

Others are more laid-back get togethers where people just show up and talk, share ideas, exchange cards, etc. I know @Peter MacKercher has a good monthly meet up. I also coordinate a monthly St. Louis REI Happy Hour on the last Thursday of every month. We usually have between 12 and 20 people show up... mixture of investors, agents, lenders, etc. Here's a link to our next one, which will also be a holiday party:
