Brand New and Ready to Grow

Good evening all,

My name is Arianna Streeter and I am brand new to the world of real estate investing! One year ago, I bought a foreclosure property near the medical college in Toledo, OH in hopes of repairing it and renting rooms out to medical students. This was a live-in flip and I quickly realized that by living in the home, I was putting more money into it than I should have. There were a couple big projects that needed to be done before I could rent it out like: a new roof and basement sealing. I was out of cash and needed to find a solution. After talking with family members and coworkers, I decided to sell my property under land contract. I spoke with my realtor and she had someone willing to buy before I was even prepared to sell. Because I bought the property with cash, my calculations estimated a 30% ROI. After that transaction I became eager to learn more about investing in real estate. I found the BiggerPockets podcast and have not looked back since. The podcast led me to this forum and to Brandon Turner's, "Investing in Real Estate with No and Low Money Down”.My interactions with BiggerPockets has opened my eyes to creative financing and has changed the way I think about real estate investing. At this point, I would like to practice wholesaling and buy-and-hold investments. I am honored to be a part of such a wonderful network of people and am looking forward to growing with you all. One day I hope to be able to help other new investors through my experiences.

Side note: I am currently an MBA student and work full time as an ICU RN. I absolutely love my job but also live by one of my favorite books of all time, Rich Dad Poor Dad. If anyone asks, “Nursing is my profession and real estate is my business”.

Regards,

Arianna D. Streeter
