New Member from the Big Island of Hawaii

Hello everyone,

My name is Jon and I moved to the Big Island of Hawaii in May 2017 from North Dakota, which is where I grew up.  I have also lived in Texas and on Oahu while I was in the military.  Currently I’m a project engineer for a heavy civil general contractor on the Big Island.

I've been interested in real estate investing for a few years now but have yet to purchase my first investment property. I'm an regular listener of the BP podcasts and enjoy reading books on money and investing. I'm looking to meet other investors in Hawaii, mainly on the Big Island, and my goal is to get my first deal under contract within the next year. I'm primarily interested in buy and hold properties using the BRRRR strategy but open to a fix & flip if I can find the right deal close to me.

I’m looking forward to connecting with other like-minded people on here and hopefully in my area.
