Good Afternoon From Japan!

Hey All,

First off, I am very new to Real Estate Investing and I welcome any words of wisdom you guys have to offer.  I'm from Marion, Ohio but I am currently stationed (Air Force) in Aomori, Japan.  I'm looking to start building up my Asset Column with some rental units back in my home state (currently looking around Cincinnati and Dayton Ohio).

Any info for investing from afar (or investing in Japan) would be greatly appreciated.

Also, if anyone is currently living in Aomori and wants to grab a little ramen or sake I am almost always up for it!

Good afternoon Malachi,

I am also an old (and future) Ohioan who is currently in Japan (Okinawa though) and investing in Southern Ohio.

Maybe we can have a virtual Sake and trade notes. What specifically are you looking to do? Single or multi? Higher cash flow areas or "safer" spots with better school districts and the like? You planning on buying with cash or financing? How has your "team building" gone so far?
