You know, I'm not really sure.  The town I live in is very small and half of the population is US military so most of the Real Estate is US style homes for rent, can't say that I have much knowledge on any else.  I couldn't even give a WAG on what a normal price of home here would be.

Thanks Dustin, I haven't put much thought into investing outside of Ohio.  But I guess if it doesn't really matter where I begin to buy if I'm half way around the world anyway.

Hey All,

First off, I am very new to Real Estate Investing and I welcome any words of wisdom you guys have to offer.  I'm from Marion, Ohio but I am currently stationed (Air Force) in Aomori, Japan.  I'm looking to start building up my Asset Column with some rental units back in my home state (currently looking around Cincinnati and Dayton Ohio).

Any info for investing from afar (or investing in Japan) would be greatly appreciated.

Also, if anyone is currently living in Aomori and wants to grab a little ramen or sake I am almost always up for it!
