Hello Everyone!!!!!
My name is Tom Eppolite and I'm very happy to be here. A little about me.... I am a Field Service Engineer, I repair/service Nuclear SPECT camera's. Field Service means I travel a LOT!!!!!! So I pass away the boring hours in a car listening to music, podcasts or audio books which lead me here by chance.
I listened to a podcast about a month ago interviewing Tai Lopez, just out of the blue. While his business model wasn't completely interesting to me in a practical sense, I agreed with some of his concepts. He suggested some books on the show, so I picked up "The Millionaire Next Door" audiobook and I listened to it on a long drive. It peaked my interest enough to search for shows a little more specific to me. I caught another podcast one day that featured Charles Roberts, I really enjoyed it and Charles recommended "Set For Life" and oh WOW!!!!!!
I realized while I was listening to Scott's book, OMG I'm already doing this! In Feb this year I bought a "live in flip", unknowingly that I'm about half done with. I have a tenant that I rent a basement room to, my credit score has improved at least 100 points in the last year and I have paid off almost all of my bad debt. I have certainly made some mistakes already according to the book, but hopefully not horribly so. I never thought about saving first before investing :/ Ironically enough I found "Building Wealth One House At A Time" on Amazon shortly after and had no idea it was also associated with Bigger Pockets. I'm about half way through it. I wish I had purchased the hard cover version though, I need to take notes.
Coincidence? Maybe so, but I had to join BP to learn more. I'll post more about the "live in flip" I have acquired in an appropriate forum. I have a million questions now LOL. And I hope I can contribute back to the community in some way also...
